The Arabesque Winds visited students in Le Roy, New York, for the second part of an ongoing outreach project. Band students performed in masterclasses and private lessons with the members of the quintet.
The quintet also performed in the Le Roy Library for an evening concert open to the public. In future visits, the group will perform additional public concerts, so keep checking back for more information!
Good luck to the students in the Le Roy schools at NYSSMA solo context next week! |

The Arabesque Winds begin a four-part outreach project in the high school in Le Roy, New York. During this first performance, the quintet performed for members of the high school band, and demonstrated the challenges of rehearsing and performing chamber music.
In future visits to the school, the Arabesque Winds will offer private lessons to students, coach student chamber music ensembles, and perform a recital alongside the students.
The Arabesque Winds' collaboration is made possible by a grant from the Messinger Foundation, in cooperation with the Eastman School's Institute for Music Leadership. |
